MONEY & VALUE

The cheapest website is rarely the smallest invoice

Price matters. So do ownership, clarity and the amount of your own time a project quietly consumes.

Website quotes are difficult to compare because identical-looking totals can describe completely different arrangements. One may include thought, writing and support; another may cover little more than assembly.

The headline price is only part of the cost. There is also your time, the decisions nobody helps you make, the changes charged later and the difficulty of leaving if the relationship no longer works.

A fair proposal should make the boundaries easy to understand: what is included, what remains yours, what happens after launch and what could change the price. Vagueness is not flexibility when only one side understands it.

Choose the level of help that suits the business now. A simple beginning can be sensible. Paying twice because the first agreement hid its limits is not. Clarity before commitment is worth more than an impressive list of features.

Good decisions usually begin with a clearer question.
